Linking to a specific tab

This article describes how to link to a specific tab. There are 4 styles of tabs to choose from. We will refer to these as “Tabs 1”, “Tabs 2”, etc…..please see this demo page as a guide to determine which tab style we are referring to: Karma Tab Styles

Tabs 1 & Tabs 3:

  • The tab linking works by adding “#tab_x” to the end of a URL string, where “x” is replaced by the number of the Tab.
  • The “tab count” starts with 0 so the first tab is actually “#tab_0”
  • The second tab is “#tab_1″…..the third tab is “#tab_2″…..and so on…
  • Here’s an example of the URL string: http://www.yourwebsite.com/#tab_2

Tabs 2:

This style does not offer tab-linking at this time.

Tabs 4:

  • The tab linking works by adding “?tab=x” to the end of a URL string, where “x” is replaced by the number of the Tab.
  • The “tab count” here starts with 1 so first tab is “?tab=1″…..second tab is “?tab=2″…..and so on…
  • Here’s an example of the URL string: http://www.yourwebsite.com/?tab=2
