How to: Remove the Page's Banner

By default Sterling’s Page Templates display a Page Banner containing the Page Title, Breadcrumbs and Search Box.

Remove Banner globally

To remove the Page Banner from your entire site: Access Appearance > Site Options > Styling Options > Custom CSS area Add the following code:

 .small_banner {display:none;}

Remove Banner from specific Pages

You may need to exclude the Banner from specific Pages. To do this you will need to view the Page Source for that Page and look for the Page ID Number found inside the body Tag. The full body Tag will look something like this:

<body class="home page page-id-1111 page-child parent-pageid-1062 page-template page-template-page-template-home-jquery-php logged-in admin-bar no-customize-support">

The Page ID Number will look something like this: page-id-1111 or even home or single Once you have identified the ID number for the Page: Access Appearance > Site Options > Styling Options > Custom CSS area Add the following code:

.page-id-1111 .small_banner {display:none !important;}

(Edit page id with your own. Repeat the above code for each needed page.) Furthermore in some instances you may want to reduce the extra space at the top of the content area (bellow header header). To do so: Access Appearance > Site Options > Styling Options > Custom CSS area Add the following code:

.page-id-1111 #main-wrap {padding-top:0px;margin-top:-20px;}
